ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT
Abe Koogler (Playwright) plays include Kill Floor, which premiered at Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3 in the fall of 2015, Fulfillment Center, which premiered at Manhattan Theatre Club, Blue Skies Process, and Advance Man. Abe has won an Obie Award for Playwriting, the Kennedy Center's Paula Vogel Award, and Williamstown Theatre Festival's L. Arnold Weissberger Award. He was a Michener Fellow at UT-Austin and is an alumni of Juilliard's Playwrights Program. Abe is under commission from Manhattan Theatre Club, his plays have been developed at Kitchen Dog Theatre, the Playwrights' Center, the Great Plains Theatre Conference, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Black Swan Lab. He is a native of Washington State.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Lindsay Cortner (Frame Dancer) began her classical dance training at fourteen with Beth Gulledge-Brown. After high school, she studied at the Alvin Ailey/Fordham BFA program in New York. When she returned to Houston, she danced with Uptown Dance Company for eight seasons, Sandra Organ's Earthen Vessels for two seasons, and Psophonia for one season. She currently freelances in Houston. She has guested with companies such as Hope Stone, Houston Met, and Pilot Dance Project, and performed works created by independent choreographers including Jennifer Mabus and Ashley Horn. Additionally, Lindsay graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Psychology. She currently teaches Forrest Yoga and multiple dance disciplines.

Jon L. Lydia Hance (Choreographer) is the Founder Artistic Director of Frame Dance. She has been named an Emerging Leader by Dance/USA and has led Frame Dance in performances from the Galveston pier onto the METRO light rail, in the backs of U Haul trucks, downtown tunnels, and into museums, stages, and warehouses for the past ten years. A champion of new music composers, her work deepens interdisciplinary and multigenerational collaborations, and investigates the placement of dance in our lives. She is a choreographer, curator, filmmaker, educator, and dance writer who passionately believes dance should be a part of our every day lives. She holds degrees in Dance Performance and English Literature from SMU and trained at the Taylor School, Graham School, Tisch School of the Arts, Limon Institute and SMU.

Muhammad Khaerisman (BAKER) is a current sophomore Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting major at the University of Houston. Khaerisman just closed UH’s productions of “Twelfth Night” (Sir Toby Belch) and “Man and Superman” (Duval). Khaerisman can be found partnering with Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) in teaching hip-hop workshops for young inner city students. Additionally, Khaerisman is a founding member of UH’s first poetry community and slam team— UH CoogSlam.In 2016, Khaerisman won the Tommy Tune award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Usnavi in "In the Heights." He then continued on to earn the Spirit of the Jimmy award from the National High School Musical Awards (commonly known as the Jimmy Awards) in New York City. Having both studied under Broadway legends and performed on the legendary Minskoff Theater. Khaerisman constantly credits his achievements so far to the family, friends, and teachers who have supported him throughout his journey.

Susan Koozin* (ELLA) is currently performing in Rec Room’s production of Exit Strategy. Susan’s long association with Stages Repertory Theatre includes two of the longest-running productions in Houston’s history, Always…Patsy Cline and The Great American Trailer Park Musical. Hannah Lee (SCIENCE TEACHER) Hannah Lee is proud to be making her debut with Horse Head Theatre! She has worked with Landing Theatre in Caught (Wang Min), recently being awarded ‘Best Breakthrough’ artist for the role in the 2018 Houston Press Theatre Awards. Houston credits also include: Akeelah and the Bee (Izzy) with Main Street Theatre, The Joy Luck Club (June) with Nova Arts Project, and Bermuda Triangle with Mildred’s Umbrella. She has also received credits abroad with the Prague Shakespeare Company as Peaseblossom in Midsummer Night’s Dream and as the lead role in Blood Love and Rhetoric’s Blood Red Riding Hood. Films include Sam Wolf, The Project, Unclenched, Not Good Enough, and Nose Goes.

Jacey Little (Artistic Director & Production Manager) is the Artistic Director of Horse Head Theatre Co. and will direct We’re Gonna Die by Young Jean Lee and The Flick by Annie Baker in 2018 with Horse Head. She is currently co-assistant directing Curse of the Starving Class at Catastrophic Theatre. Previously, she directed Church by Young Jean Lee, Sensitive Guys by MJ Kaufman (staged reading), The Whale; or, Moby-Dick (Houston Press 2015 “Best New Play”) and Spaghetti Code by Abby Koenig (BroadwayWorld Houston 2014 “Best New Play”) with Horse Head; Feathers and Teeth by Charise Castro Smith and Dollface by Katharine Sherman (Houston Press 2016 “Best New Play”) with Mildred’s Umbrella; the first workshop performance of Dialogues on Grace by Cressandra Thibodeaux; and Ten Ways on a Gun by Dylan Lamb with The Landing Theatre. Jacey is the former Literary Manager and Dramaturg for the Alley Theatre., former Production Manager for the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra and former Managing Director for Obsidian Theatre. Highlights of her Alley credits include Warrior Class by Kenneth Lin, The Mountaintop by Katori Hall and What We’re Up Against by Theresa Rebeck. Jacey holds an MA in Dramaturgy and Theatre Historiography from University of Houston and a BFA in Dramaturgy & Acting from University of Oklahoma.
Rachael Logue (Director) is thrilled be back working with Horse Head again where she was last seen as Natalie in their staged reading of Evocation to Visible Appearance. Emily Roy-Sayre (Frame Dancer) graduated from Belhaven University in 2013 with a BFA in dance and returned to her hometown to dance professionally for Of Moving Colors, Louisiana’s leading contemporary company. She was featured in 225 Magazine and The Advocate newspaper, danced on the runway for the Avenue Rouge Fashion Show and performed aerial harness 40 feet in the air for the Louisiana Blues Festival. Since moving to Texas in 2014, Emily danced for companies such as Uptown Dance Company, The Pilot Dance Project, Frame Dance Productions, and Houston Grand Opera (Nixon in China and West Side Story) allowing her to work with artists such as Sean Curran, Jennifer Mabus, and Julio Monge. Her choreography has been presented twice at Mind the Gap and Houston’s Fringe Festival and set on San Jacinto College, OMC, and UDC II. Fields of London, Emily’s dance for camera film, will be presented in LA this fall.
Sammi Sicinski (LOCAL MOM) is a graduate of The University of Houston where she received her BA in Theatre. Jasmine Renée Thomas (LIBRARIAN) is a Houston- native and received her B.A. in Theatre Arts from the Sarofim School of Fine Arts at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Upon graduation, Jasmine returned to Houston after joining Teach for America and began her professional career with Houston’s Ensemble Theatre before moving to New York City to act full-time. NYC credits include: The Day Before Heaven, 702 Punchlines & Pregnant: The Jackie Mason Musical, The Field: Musical Myth, and Sister’s Keeper. Jasmine is also a SAG eligible performer and has been featured in TV & Film projects such as Monsters Inside Me (Animal Planet). Now back in Texas, she has most recently performed with Houston-based company, Collective48, while balancing work as a manager in the education department at the Alley Theatre. Allison Viera (Stage Manager) is a recent stage management graduate from University of Houston’s School of Theatre & Dance. Stage management credits include: Bach at Leipzig, The Servant of Two Masters, and SAC’s 90th Showcase at San Antonio College, Christmas Carol at Clear Creek Community Theatre, UH’s 2018 10-Minute Play Festival, Oleanna with The Landing Theatre, Exit Strategy and Hedda Gabler with Rec Room. Jamie Williams (Frame Dancer) is from Wharton, TX where she discovered her love for movement and art at a young age. She earned her BFA and MFA degrees in Dance from Sam Houston State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Williams is also a certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst through the internationally recognized Integrated Movement Studies program, and is currently working toward her certification in Yoga. Jamie serves as dance faculty and Dance Program Coordinator at San Jacinto College, and performs with Frame Dance and several independent artists in the Houston area.
