GREG COTE (SAM) is a proud graduate of the University of Houston SOTD where he received his BFA. He is thoroughly jazzed to be joining Horse Head on stage for the first time. Greg was responsible for the music direction and song writing for Young Jean Lee's Church with HH in 2017. Favorite past roles include: Ensemble in Tamarie's Merry Evening of Mistakes & Regrets, Magic in Small Ball, Paul in Snow White (Catastrophic Theatre); Noah in Cherry Muffins: A Demon Play (Cone Man Running); Ensemble in Love & Information (MST); Matt/Homer in Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play (Cape Rep); Billing in An Enemy of The People, Bird/Others/Music Director in The Birds, Fred/Past/others in A Christmas Carol (CTC); Garry in Noises Off, Robert in Boeing Boeing (Unity Theatre); Horatio in Hamlet, Le Beau in As You Like It, and Porter in MacBeth(HoustonShakespeareFestival); and other various readings, workshops and collaborations around Houston. ANTONIO LASANTA (AVERY) is currently a junior at the University of Houston receiving his BFA in Acting. Acting credits include Larry (Mr. Marmalade), Brigand (Man and Superman), Narrator (Animal Farm), and Joe Crowell (Our Town - directed by Horse Head’s very own Philip Hays). He is also a playwright, with several 10-minute plays having been produced including Rosemary in Waiting and Live-Action Roleplay. He is incredibly excited to get to work with such amazing artists and talented peers in this dream role. He’d also like to extend thanks to his family and friends for their constant support.

AVERY PADILLA (ROSE) is a 23 year old actress as well as Houston Native. Avery has received training from San Jac South College and University of Houston’s School of Theatre and Dance. Although stage theatre is her main love, she has been dabbling in film, recently staring in a indie film produced by a group at UT Austin. Some of her latest stage project was Wanda, Daisy and the Great Rapture with Landing Theatre Company, as the role of Daisy. Avery has always had a big soft spot for Horse Head Theatre Company, volunteering for them many times and catching every show she can. She’s very honored to be on the stage for them in this production. Avery would like to thank Horse Head Artistic team for the opportunity and her family and friends for all the endless support.

Annie Baker (Playwright) Annie Baker's full-length plays include The Flick (Playwrights Horizons, OBIE Award for Playwriting, Susan Smith Blackburn Prize), Circle Mirror Transformation (Playwrights Horizons, OBIE Award for Best New American Play, Drama Desk nomination for Best Play), The Aliens (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, OBIE Award for Best New American Play), Body Awareness (Atlantic Theater Company, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Play/Emerging Playwright), and an adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, for which she also designed the costumes (Soho Rep). Ms. Baker's plays have been performed at over 100 theatres across the USA and in England, Australia, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Latvia, Sweden, and Russia. She is a Residency Five playwright at Signature Theatre and a member of New Dramatists, MCC’s Playwrights Coalition and EST. Recent honors include a New York Drama Critics Circle Award, a Susan Smith Blackburn Prize nomination, a Lilly Award, a Time Warner Storytelling Fellowship, a MacDowell fellowship and a Master Artist Residency at Atlantic Center for the Arts. A published anthology of her work, The Vermont Plays, is available from TCG books.

Sydnee Davis (Stage Manager) began with Horse Head as Stage Manager for Church by Young Jean Lee and earlier in 2018, she stage managed We’re Gonna Die. Since then she has worked with The Landing Theatre and Ensemble Theatre. Tasha Gorel (PR, Social Media, Photography & Videography) graduated from The University of Texas at Austin where she earned a dual BA degree in Theatre and History. Since her move to Houston three years ago, she has started her own photography company (Natasha Nivan Photography), joined Horse Head Theatre Co. as a company member (overseeing all PR, social media management, photography, videography and program creation) as well as joining the artistic company at Rec Room (company manager, front of house manager, in house photographer, videographer, and casting director.) Before embarking on her career behind the scenes, Tasha worked over a year with The Alley Theatre workshopping, acting in and touring their theatre for young audiences productions as well as appearing as an actress in over ten Houston theatre productions. Clair Hummel (Costume Designer) is a Houston based freelance Costume and Puppet Designer, as well as Costume Coordinator for Houston Grand Opera. Hummel is an Indiana native that received her undergraduate degree from Indiana State University and her MFA from the University of Houston. She has designed for companies including: HGOco, HGO To GO!, Alley Theatre OSKAR, REC Room Arts, Jhon Stronks-there in the sunlight, Crossroads Repertory Theatre, The Landing Theatre Company, VauLt Houston, Musiqa Houston, Classical Theatre Company, Houston Shakespeare Festival, Rice University, ROCO, Mildred's Umbrella and University of Houston.

Previously, she directed Church by Young Jean Lee, Sensitive Guys by MJ Kaufman (staged reading), The Whale; or, Moby-Dick (Houston Press 2015 “Best New Play”) and Spaghetti Code by Abby Koenig (BroadwayWorld Houston 2014 “Best New Play”) with Horse Head; Feathers and Teeth by Charise Castro Smith and Dollface by Katharine Sherman (Houston Press 2016 “Best New Play”) with Mildred’s Umbrella; the first workshop performance of Dialogues on Grace by Cressandra Thibodeaux; and Ten Ways on a Gun by Dylan Lamb with The Landing Theatre. Jacey is the former Literary Manager and Dramaturg for the Alley Theatre., former Production Manager for the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra and former Managing Director for Obsidian Theatre. Highlights of her Alley credits include Warrior Class by Kenneth Lin, The Mountaintop by Katori Hall and What We’re Up Against by Theresa Rebeck. Jacey holds an MA in Dramaturgy and Theatre Historiography from University of Houston and a BFA in Dramaturgy & Acting from University of Oklahoma.
Torsten Louis (Scenic Designer) is the design and technical coordinator at Wildfish Theatre in Houston, TX. When not working at Wildfish, Torsten freelances as a set and lighting designer mostly in the Houston area. Set designs in the past year include Trouble in Tahiti and Signor Deluso for Baylor Opera Theater, Book of Will, Pinkalicious the Musical and Sideways Stories from Wayside School for Main Street Theater, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for Theatre Under the Stars Humphreys School at Miller Outdoor Theatre, All My Sons for Unity Theatre, and Monkey and Francine in the City of Tigers for Houston Grand Opera-to-Go.

Leah is Company Manager of Horse Head Theatre Co. as well as a Theatre teacher and program director in AISD.
